DS Friend Code and How to connect across the world. (STEP BY STEP PLEASE)?

I need someone to go through step by step on how to get my friend code, and how to connect with people through internet.





*I have a Nintendo* Wi-Fi USB Connector that came with my Wii. Could I possibly use that?DS Friend Code and How to connect across the world. (STEP BY STEP PLEASE)?
*Yes,you need that usb adapter or a router (and broadband* fast connection, in other words.. prolly wont work with dial up) ...in order to play wifi games online.





(connecting to wfc **GETTING YOUR FRIEND CODE** varies by game, but usually its in the multiplayer sections.you'll get it as soon as you connect to wfc


Then you'll be presented with a roster, where you'll input someone elses codes.. and be able to play and such.

I haven't used the usb in ages.. so I'm going by memory, and really hope it helps.. if not .. you could try asking in tech support or see if they already have it listed here:

This step you only need to go through once, unless you have multiple gizmos to add..





But basically..I'm assuming you haven't installed the disc yet? All you do is start it up, let it do its thing..*once it prompts you to, you plug in the usb (ie: DON'T plug it in until the program says its okay to do so)





once thats all set on your computer ^





Wii





(start off with the lower left button :P)


Go to wii settings


Scroll Right, click on internet


connection settings


wireless connection


and you should see the usb access point option.. just hit that.. it'll test the connection.. Might take a while..


no error codes? good.. so then you're set to go Go GO!^^

For DS*





Then you boot up your ds.. with a wifi compatible game, find the wifi connection options *ex; acww, talking to the gatekeeper, pokemon ...starting menu xD, etc(different for every game obviously, if you have trouble finding it, let me know)





Once you reach the wfc settings, simply tap ';search for access point';





the rest is obvious and self explanatory, sorry about not being able to explain this well.. kinda in a rush ^^;; but it's not that hard.. you'll figure it out.. If you still need help, you might wanna try youtube.. surely they'll have a tutorial there.

not to be off topic or anything.. but you might want to consider getting a router instead..depending on how often and where you play..


what sux about the usb thingy.. is that you can only play nearby, and ONLY when your compy is powered on. which makes it overheat sometimes.. and mess up your connecton





routers are a bit more complex to set up.. but once they're up, you're free to play whenever/whereever ...sorta XPDS Friend Code and How to connect across the world. (STEP BY STEP PLEASE)?
