Three people connected to an OFFLINE Router, Playing an LAN GAME?

I have two people coming over soon, And they are bringing their entire computer, both, and we wanted to play the latest LAN game, Left 4 Dead. We we're wondering because i'm about 65 foot away from my Internet router[that's how long the cord is]. Could we Still play a LAN game with the Offline router? Yes, you can. I don't know if Left 4 dead need internet connection but you definitely don't need internet connection for a LAN game.
