how exactly does facebook help connect people? i've never used facebook before so i really don't know anything, but how's it possible to maintain a good relationship with long distance friends through sometimes posting comments and looking at pictures? is it the the iming or is there something that i dont know? i'm not trying to hate on facebook. i've just been thinking about getting a facebook lately and want to know if it's actually worth it.Any facebook users? helpp?
Facebook is with no doubt the best way to keep track with friends!you can see what they are up to from their staus. you can see how are they looking with pics.Any facebook users? helpp?
its really just like email, except you can write on their walls and then EVERYONE on yours or hers/his friends list will know what you wrote, when, what time. and you have pics and you can comment and you have little apps and so on. its not worth it if you just want to keep in touch.
but if you want to comment on pictures and send them a piece of flair or a sticker or ';poke'; them, then go for it

Facebook is a good way not only to keep up with friends you know but to meet new people and also to keep up with info you are interested in. They have Groups you can join and also Fan pages such as Mashable which is how I keep up with the latest news on tech and web stuff, on this Fan page, you read Mashable articles and then comments of other Facebook users. There are many ways of using Facebook, I agree with the first answer, the best way to learn is to jump right in and try it out. You should just start a Facebook account. Search for friends you know then send a request to add them as a friend. The best way to figure out Facebook is to just start using it. That's what I did.
