How do you choose whom to connect to as a Y!/A contact?

I've had a number of people connect with me on Yahoo! Answers, whom I don't know. I don't recall having answer their questions or they answering mine. But I'm always happy for the outreach.





Why do people connect with me when they don't know me? (It couldn't just be my ruggedly good looking avatar?)

Well if i like someones avatar or answer/questions i'll look at there profile and if they seem cool and nice then i'll add them.


Or


If someone adds me then i'll look at there profile to see if they seem nice..





Maybe you seem really nice...

I usually look at avatars, but sometimes, if I come across an answer that sounds smart, creative, funny...I just check out their profile and add them...if they ask for an email before I add them, i just send them an email
deff the avatar, but i usually connect with people who i see a lot or like they've seen me, or they answered like funny or we have something in common or something
I only add people I've seen around a lot. Or usually, at least. I try not to add anybody I've never seen, but sometimes it only takes seeing them one time for me to add them.
i usually add pips if they give good answers or if their ans. are funny or if i agree with what they are saying or if i like their avatar!!XD
I add if they ask me to add them. Other than that I'm too lazy
i just pick people if i like their pic or answers or have seen them on here a lot
There's no specific reason that makes me add somebody. I added the Contacts I have, for different reasons. All but one originally added me first. The one thing that never motivates me to add somebody is the avatar (no matter how ';Ruggedly good looking';)





In the case of one, she often contributes recipes and I'm an avid cook and baker. While I don't make use of all her recipes. The ones I've tried have all been great. We also share a love of language and good grammar. In fact, she added me first based on the fact that I've read the dictionary cover to cover.





One Contact is a woman with a great sense of humor. She's rarely active on here, but she always has a great joke when she checks into Y!A. I always look forward to seeing her put in an appearance.





The one Contact I originally added first, I added for several reasons. First, he's from a country I've always wanted to visit. He also contributed a lot to the investment and finance sections on here. I wanted to expand my knowledge in that area. I was heartbroken when his original account got suspended... I used to use his answers as a financial reference guide. It wasn't until his original account got suspended that we actually got in contact with each other. We've since found out that we were each other's favourites all along.





Another Contact just makes me smile with his odd, random thoughts that often wind up as questions. Our email exchanges/IM's always brighten my day and often make me laugh. His Y!A contributions always make for a lively and interesting read.
