How can I stop invitations to connect with people from popping up on my homepage?

I don't want any connections, I keep deleting any that are offered, enough is enough already!How can I stop invitations to connect with people from popping up on my homepage?
Go to options -%26gt; mail options -%26gt; there's a new option which enables you to not display connections.
