How do you connect with people on Animal Crossing DS?

I never did this before, and I never shared my friend code, but I do have wifi.





Do you need people to add you, before you connect with them? And are you allowed to connect with people all around the world? Or is it just people near you? And can anybody test it out with me? You can find people to wi-fi with at http://www.animalcrossingcommunity.com/. Everyone there is really nice. You can connect to people all over the world.


Once you exchange friend codes with someone, you will both need to enter the information in the friend roster. In your game, open the inventory and click the heart tab. Add your friend's friend code, town name, and character name. You will each need to do this in your own game.


One of you will host by talking to Copper and asking him to open the gate. Once the gate is open, the person to visit talks to Copper in their town and tells him he wants to go out. The host's town name and character name should appear on the list of places you can go.
